The Agritourism Resort Lama San Giorgio, at the heart of the Puglia region and quite close to the airport, Bari, Alberobello and the remarkable Castel del Monte (map), is where different cultures and cooking traditions meet and mix, surrounded by a gentle yet harsh environment.
The resort is in a particularly good position, because the Manor Farm is an excellent starting point (and destination) for tourists wishing to visit cultural sites and other tourist attractions in the region. This splendid XIX century building, carefully renovated according to the original design, is perfect for relaxing walks in the vineyard and in the 'Lama' (a kind of karstic landscape, created by water flowing over stone), in the shade of a copse of oaks and surrounded by typical Mediterranean vegetation. The Lama San Giorgio Agritourism Resort is part of Azienda Agricola Scianatico [Scianatico Agricultural Enterprise] and produces and sells local products such as table grapes, olives, wines, precious extra virgin olive oil and cherries. Excellent jams and food stored in oil - good food, made according to good old peasant recipes - will be available to guests during their stay.
